Why Isn’t My Resume Uploading?

If you’re having trouble uploading your resume, don’t worry! It’s often due to common issues that can be quickly resolved. Here’s a guide to help you troubleshoot and successfully upload your resume.

Common Reasons Your Resume Isn’t Uploading

  1. Unsupported File Format

    • Ensure your resume is saved in one of the accepted formats:
      • PDF
      • Word Documents (DOC or DOCX)
      • PNG
      • JPEG (JPG)
    • If your resume is in another format, convert it to one of these before uploading it.
  2. File Size is Too Large

    • Check the file size of your resume. Large files may exceed the platform’s size limit.
    • Solution: Compress your file or reduce its size using tools like Adobe Acrobat for PDFs or an image compressor for PNGs/JPEGs.
  3. Corrupted File

    • If the file is damaged or incomplete, it may not upload correctly.
    • Solution: Open your file to confirm it works, then re-save it or create a new version.
  4. Slow Internet Connection

    • A weak or unstable internet connection can interrupt the upload process.
    • Solution: Try uploading your resume when connected to a stable and reliable network.

Steps to Resolve Resume Upload Issues

  1. Double-Check File Format and Size

    • Please make sure your resume meets the format and size requirements.
  2. Rename Your File

    • Use a simple file name (e.g., “JohnDoeResume.pdf”) with no special characters.
  3. Try Again Later

    • Temporary server issues could prevent uploads. Wait a few minutes and try again.
  4. Reach Out for Help

    • If the issue persists, contact our Customer Experience Team with details about the problem, such as the file type and size, and we’ll assist you.
